Eastern Black Sea Dances / Horons
(beginner)

The Eastern Black Sea coast and its inner parts host different horon forms performed by pipe, tulum, kemençe and accordion. It is aimed that the participants meet these different horon forms and learn the common horon steps.

In this 8-week class, we study Hopa Hemşin, Rize, Hemşin and Sera horons. In addition to the dance in Rize and Hemşin horons, we also deal with throwing ballads, which are the main component of the dances.
