Traditional Dances & Staging
In this extended course, we explore the traditional dance styles originating from Anatolia, Mesopotamia, and the Balkans. Our objective is for participants to develop an understanding of the rhythmic and physical essence of these forms, enabling them to dance with confidence.

Vasburagan / Van Bars
Vasburagan is one of the historical names of the region that currently includes Van, Bitlis, and Muş provinces (around Lake Van). During this study, we will comparatively study the dances such as Gorani, Qertsi, Meyroke, and Papuri that took root in Armenia after 1915 and continue to be performed, and the versions that remained behind.

Romani Dances
In this course, we will instruct participants in the fundamental steps of Romani dances from the Balkans, characterized by a 9/8 rhythm. The goal is to acquaint participants with Romani dance traditions and enhance their individual improvisation skills using the new repertoire they acquire

Eastern Black Sea Dances / Horons (Beginner)
The Eastern Black Sea coastline and its hinterlands are regions where various horon dances are performed to the accompaniment of instruments such as the pipe, tulum, kemençe, and accordion. This program aims to introduce participants to these diverse horon dance styles and teach them the fundamental steps common to all horon dances.
